The Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Chiesa del Santo Sepolcro) or, briefly, Santo Sepolcro, shares with the Baptistery the same architect, namely, Diotisalvi, but, unlike the later, it does not impress by spectacular architectural elements. Yet, the establishment is worth seeing even of only from the exterior – given the fact that it is not opened to the public – due to the fact that, as some say, it was built for the use of the Knights Templar, and also because it calls forth the troubled historic moments of the First Crusade which, in fact, inspired the construction of Santo Sepolcro. Its decorative elements are scarce, and they refer, chronologically speaking, to the tombstone of Marie Mancini and to a piece of art rendering a Madonna with Child.
