Palazzo Gambacorti is yet another historic edifice to increase the tourist rating of Pisa. Built in early 14th century, its first dwellers referred to one of the most influential families in Pisa, namely, the Gambacorti family, who had a tremendous political influence over the city given its financial power acquired as a result of maritime trade.

The severe façade of the building is unchanged as to its original form, whereas other decorative elements have been added in time as symbols of the historic circumstances Pisa underwent, particularly with respect to its relation to Florence. Eventually, Palazzo Gambacorti has been hosting the Town Hall since late 17th century and it definitely stands out as one of the most noteworthy objectives to be visited in Pisa.
